ONEX Logistics and CT Strategies, USA, Sign Cooperation Agreement.

ONEX Logistics and CT Strategies (CTS), a consulting firm from Washington, D.C., USA, have officially signed a memorandum of cooperation to advance the operations of both companies.

According to the agreement signed by the leaders of both companies on May 4, 2023, ONEX Logistics and CT Strategies will provide capacity-building services and international technical support in customs modernization, border management, trade facilitation, Free Trade Zone (FTZ) development and management, and especially C-TPAT consulting for Vietnamese businesses involved in U.S. imports and exports. They will also connect and introduce businesses to programs like the Authorized Economic Operator-Mutual Recognition Agreement (AEO-MRA) and C-TPAT, with direct support from CT Strategies, a U.S.-based company.

Mr. Võ Thanh Tú, CEO of ONEX Logistics, stated that this partnership with CT Strategies will make it easier for ONEX Logistics’ customers, as well as Vietnamese companies aiming to expand business with the U.S. market.

“Our exporters need consulting, training, and, above all, legal protection when disputes arise with related parties, face challenges in customs clearance, or simply seek faster access for goods to flow more efficiently into the U.S. market.”

Mr. Andrew Farelly, CEO of CT Strategies, committed to working with ONEX Logistics to realize the vision of “pioneering in supporting Vietnamese exporters to penetrate global markets, especially the U.S., by providing strategic solutions to improve the supply chain into the U.S. and worldwide.” During his time in government, Mr. Andrew played a significant role in enhancing cargo security through his work at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), where he developed and set operational standards as Strategic Director and Commissioner of CBP.

Mr. Trần Thoang, representative of CTS in Vietnam and Senior Customs Specialist for the USAID Trade Facilitation Program (TFP), with extensive experience in Vietnam’s General Department of Customs, the Maritime Administration, and the Ministries of Agriculture and Industry & Trade, stated, “Vietnam exports a lot to the U.S., but businesses do not fully understand the benefits of C-TPAT.” He expressed his willingness to collaborate with ONEX Logistics, partners, and associations to organize workshops on C-TPAT, Customs, and Free Trade Zones (FTZ), which offer tax exemptions and reductions, making business operations more competitive and cost-efficient.
