Customs finalization report is a compulsory requirement for import-export enterprises to comply. As stipulated in Article 60 of Circular 38/2015/TT-BTC, Businesses must provide an annual report detailing the use of raw materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and exported goods. This report requires completion no later than 90 days following the conclusion of the financial year.
To ensure precision, close collaboration is imperative among the three departments: Import-Export, Warehouse Management, and Accounting.
Customs authorities will inspect the customs finalization report based on a risk management mechanism and assess the business’s level of compliance. For privileged enterprises, the inspection process will adhere to regulations regarding the privilege in customs procedures and the monitoring of import-export goods.
Unlike post-customs clearance inspection, customs authorities will inspect customs documents, accounting records, accounting books and other related documents and data concerning the goods; and inspect the physical of the goods in necessary cases, and conditions after the goods are granted clearance.
